English 11 Making Learning Visible

A little bit of information about myself is that I absolutely adore apples. Green apples, red apples, or even yellow apples I don't really mind as long as it's crunchy and resembles an apple. Another fact is that I am very family orientated. Anything I do always has to involve my family somehow, I guess that's why my social life outside of school isn't that very social. I also very much enjoy reading, and when I say I love reading I mean it. Sometimes in a day I would read up to 5-6 books. Lastly another thing about me is that I can play the guitar. I am not exceptionally the best player out there but, in my opinion I feel that my passion and determination makes up for the out of tune strums that occur once in a while. Three learning goals that I have for English are improving my vocabulary, improving my oral skills, and writing better and more stable essays. For my first goal I want to have a wide range of vocabulary where I can speak to someone, and  spew out all these amazing words that will leave the person in awestruck and wanting to have a dictionary near by. Secondly, for improving my oral skills, I need to have good vocab. I tend to stutter and not  have great vocab which leaves me in frustration. Lastly, I want to work on my essay format. I feel that I am still weak in that area and will need more practice to make it a much more better essay. I feel that if I improve on my essay skills that a lot of my formal works that will take place in university will be of much more use and I will feel more confident when witting one. This is a little bit of information about myself. I hope from the information I have provided that you will get to know me a lot more better. Can't wait to start English 11!
